Skyryse Recruits Lt. Gen. Thomas H. Todd III (Ret.) as Strategic Advisor
EL SEGUNDO, CA — Skyryse®, the creator of SkyOS™, the world's first universal operating system for flight, today announced that United States Army Lieutenant General Thomas H. Todd III (Ret.) has joined the company as a strategic advisor.
As a career Army aviator, Lt. Gen. Todd’s experience combines aviation roles with leadership positions in modernization, research and development and acquisition. His strategic role within Skyryse continues his commitment to advancing innovative solutions between the private sector and defense.
Lt. Gen. Todd has held numerous operational and acquisitional leadership roles throughout his career, fulfilling positions that included: Program Executive Officer of Aviation at Redstone Arsenal, Deputy Commander of the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (now the Combat Capabilities Development Command), Special Assistant to the Commanding General of Army Materiel Command, and Modernization Advisor to the Director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center (now the Futures and Concept Center). Lt. Gen. Todd most recently served as Deputy Commanding General for Acquisition and Systems and Chief Innovation Officer at Army Futures Command (AFC). In this assignment, Lt. Gen. Todd led technology integration and capabilities development in the Army’s research laboratories and centers.
With 35 years of leadership in Army aviation and a deep appreciation for the process of integrating technology into operations, Lt. Gen. Todd will be focused on deploying SkyOS across the U.S. military.
